The Captain of my soul

Last night I watched this movie about Nelson Mandela’s first term as a President of South Africa, to end apartheid. It also tells the inspiring true story of how he joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team to help unite their country. I just want to share this poem which is also the title of the movie because the last two lines of the poem made me realized that whatever happens to us we are the master of our fate and the captain of our soul.

I am an HR practitioner by profession. I have a passion for writing but definitely not a writer. I created this blog 2008 just to journal my thoughts, ideas and my opinions that went through my mind. Now I'm back into blogging after almost 6-year hiatus.
